Follow the link at the top and you can see the prices in DKK. The apartment at the top is 13000000 DKK which is app. 2500000 USD at the moment but it is also quite big 238m2 or app. 2550ft2.
Hey everyone…
This is a real buildingprojekt…. They hav’nt started building it yet… It’s in a town in Denmark called Vejle it’s on the eastcoat of jytland…..
Why are these great buildings? Why are they visionary? I should imagine they require vast amount of concrete to make them stable = environmental disaster. They might look pretty to some, but I’d rather hoped we’d have moved on from simple aesthetics by now…
Also, they better have reinforced windows on the sloping side. So many opportunities for skating/cycling/skiing!
In answer to the question of how one can tell these pictures are rendered 3D models and not photographs, take a look at the shadows in the top picture. See how they’re all sharp-edged regardless of distance from where they are cast? In real life, shadows become fuzzier with increasing distance between the shadow-casting object and the surface receiving the shadow. Try it yourself; point your finger against a wall with a light shining from above. See how the shadow is sharp near your fingertip, but the shadow of your hand further from the wall is fuzzy?
There are other indicators immediately visible to the practiced eye: note the perfectly uniform colour of the road and grass; in reality no road or lawn is that perfect. There is also no depth-of-field; the image is far too crisp and clean to be a photo - even one taken with a top-quality camera.
The backgrounds are most likely photos, taken of the area where the building is to be sited and then used as a matte in the 3D scene for rendering the buildings.
This is common architectural practice when presenting project proposals and proof-of-concept art, and for pre-sales of units to prospective customers, as noted by a previous commenter.
It is made with a various combination of professional 3d software and tools. This is something you hire a firm who specialise in rendering jobs like this for. If you have to ask what software they use in that business, you dont need to know.
I WONDER IF MY REVIT ARCHITECTURE 2008 CAN DO SOME RENDERING LIKE THIS….THIS BUILDING REMINDS ME OF THE BASIC AESTHETICS OF THAT THEATER IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
What everyone seems to miss is; this is a model . . .
A rendering (so what), it is an idea.
To that end it is interesting to view architecture in new ways. These shapes break up the “normal” so called aesthetics in imaginative environs.
1. Which Moduler has been used in this design?
2. What was the inspiration? this idea is looking okhey;but I think there is extrem order & less variation
whatever this pics is real or fake, i think this should be built further. and all we must say that the building is realy fantastic and the view around it is so beautiful.
This design is a clear example of what powerful software can do. Of course mastering this software takes years in experince, considering the fact that the versions change every year. A software that can be used to create such detailed designs, to the point that people like you start to question wether this design is real or not,is called Autodesk AutoCAD which stands for Computer Aided Design. This software can cost you between $5,000 USD to $20,000 depending on what the software is specifically for.
With a autocad 2002 version you can draw the project. it’s like 300 dollars. but the autocad is not so expensive. the expensive program is the render program. I think they have used 3d’s max or Cinema 4d. this programs are expensiver. a 2004 version is like 3000 or somthing. but if je want a real good ‘render’ you need plugins for this programs like v-ray. this program is very expensive to.
yes this is a computer design, but the building of it is currently underway. it should be done by the end ff 2008. they started it in 2007. anyway, this is what it should look like as a finished product.
wow seriously..I can’t believe there are idiots here discussing whether this is real or not. Of course its fake its a RENDER, which means its computer generated, I am pretty sure there are blue prints done by an architect somewhere and therefore plans to build this.
C4D, Autodesk Autocad, 3ds Max, Maya, vray, mental ray,RPC,.. some of these are also being used in 3d animations, if youre not in the architecture field no doubt you havent heard any of these so of course the picture is fake, its just made to show the client(of course they prefer 3d renderings nowadays rather than old school drafted drawings) what the building’s gonna look like when it’s built jeez
wow.. really good project .. pretty modern look.. white colored building.. makes it pretty universal like taste.. which will attract a lot more ppl..(buyers i mean ) ..
im just astonished by the lack of sight of some of these ppl.. are yall seriously discussing whether it s a real picture or not !?.. lol .. mayb you should look and think twice b4 acting and speakin ..lol..
is there any website where i could shares ideas with ppl of knowledge in this field of architecture ?

this is fake, it could be real, but these pictures are computer made
Dave on 23 Oct 2007 at 4:54 am #
BRASS, it’s called a rendering. Every building starts as a rendering so they can pre-sell units to people before they build it. But they do build it.
DeeDee on 23 Oct 2007 at 5:50 am #
I wonder how much a unit is to buy. Pretty cool.

Some people are pretty simple minded to say this building is made by a computer. If its made by the computer, what signs show its fake?
kurtyboy69 on 28 Oct 2007 at 11:38 pm #
It’s kinda sideways, somebody should notify the architect.
