Most public seating is not all that interesting, but Spanish company Escofet is trying to change that. Here are four designs that could take any public space from dull to dazzling.

This is so awesome, I would stop and go in even if I didn’t need shoes.
I always enjoy seeing someone take something that would otherwise be standard and typical, and add a little touch of creativity. This lighting at the airport in Vancouver, Canada is a nice example of that. They could have simply installed parallel rows of average looking lights and be done with it, but instead, someone decided to do something a little a different, and as a result, people actually spend some time appreciating airport lighting that they would normally certainly ignore.

With a prestigious location on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, the French car company Citroën created a new showroom that features some of their most iconic car designs.
The design for the building was chosen in a competition in 2002 and was submitted by architect Manuelle Gautrand.
