The NYLO Hotel in Plano, Texas
The first location of the emerging NYLO hotel brand recently opened in Plano, Texas. The new hotel chain aims to offer a unique alternative for travelers who want a change from the traditional cookie-cutter mid-priced hotel experience. NYLO plans to have 50 hotels across North America by 2010. NYLO’s second hotel, in Warwick, Rhode Island, makes its debut in late summer, 2008. Others are slated to open in 2009 in the following markets: Irving, Texas; Denver/Boulder, Colorado; and Kansas City, Missouri.

To give you an idea of the unique nature of the NYLO brand, the Plano location has a common area gathering place called The Loft, that invites guests to work, meet, drink, dine, shop, or check email. Here are some photos:

I don’t like the colour mix, but it looks very cool
I doubt those chairs are comfortable unless they’re very big (not so easy to tell their size from these photos)

Beautiful…I can see my self forgetting about the outside world and enjoy the uniqueness of this hotel.
