Designer Profile: Emiliano Godoy

Emiliano Godoy is an industrial and furniture designer based in Roma Norte, Mexico. He studied at the Pratt Institute (New York), the Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico) and the the Danish Design School before starting the design firm Godoy Lab. Emiliano is also the design director of the furniture manufacturer Pirwi, a staff editor of the architecture and design magazine Arquine, a teacher of industrial design at various Mexican institutes, a part of the design collective NEL and he is a member of the advisory board of the UNESCO/Felissimo Social Design Network.
When he has time to design, he focuses on creating sustainable products ranging from seating and tables to room dividers and lighting. His latest creation is Canasta, a glass fruit bowl for Nouvel Studio that will be launched at the New York International Gift Fair next week. Thanks Emiliano for letting us know about Canasta!
