The Alien lighting collection by Büro für Form
Thanks to Constantin Wortmann from the German design studio Büro für Form for sending us these photos of Alien, their new lighting collection.
From the designers:
It seems as if a strange creature is sliding down a rope. Gently and almost weightlessly, radiating a warm and graceful light. Alien. Available in two different sizes and four variations, as pendant, table, floor lights, and outdoor.
The lights are being manufactured and sold by Next, and will be available to purchase in September 2008.

Seriously? Those are not sperm? I’m baffled. The ones at the bottom simply look like they’ve noticed the world’s condition and are desperately trying to escape back from whence they came, fleeing a chance encounter with an egg.

Right - the strange alien looks like sperm. But on the other hand I like the title “the alien lighting collection” better than the title “the sperm ligthing collection”
