The Campbell Divertimento House in Los Angeles
This house should probably be called the “Barragán Fountain House” considering all the attention it has received because of the fountain on the property, which just happens to have been designed by the famous Mexican architect Luis Barragán. The LA Times wrote a whole article about it - here, and the City of Los Angeles has declared the fountain to be a Historic Cultural Monument, but besides the fountain, there’s a 4 bedroom/4.5 bathroom house that has recently been renovated and is currently for sale at $9.95 million.

the yellow tones throughout just doesn’t do it for me. Not quite sure why but just doesn’t sit well

Yes, Grimbo, I too feels this. Nothing within responds to the majesty of that fountain without. All the decor is for a house that doesn’t know the fountain exists. Not to say that entire house needs to speak back to the fountain, but I think the yellows are an absolute negation of the beauty outside. You nailed it.
