Garden and Sea House by Takao Shiotsuka
When it comes to minimalist architecture and interiors, nobody does it better than Japanese architects, they put out a surprising amount of hyper-minimalist work that is
cold and sterile enough to eat sashimi off the floor!
Takao Shiotsuka is a Japanese architect who has recently completed this minimalist house that sits in the middle of a walled compound overlooking the sea.

I’m absolutely stunned by the beauty of this building; such wonderful crisp clean lines like this just blow me away.

I totally agree that the building is of uttermost beauty.
The interior design displayed at these photos on the other hand seems (to me) to be of a smaller spirit. A pitty.

I like this home, a lot. I just question the architect’s choice to not have many windows on the first story to let in some of that natural sunlight in. It makes that part of the house seem cramped and dark.
But overall, I love the idea. I love modern houses.
