I think the first two tables here are stunning. Vacuum bent wood forms? I would have put a little rubber pad in between the glass and the steel to keep the glass from slipping. I don’t think they look “unbalanced” at all. Very cool.

I agree i think they are ugly! why you ask,..

because they are over engineered and not in one bit fashionable, also they don’t fit in current trends around the world.. they may fit in .. in Dubai in some palace..
imagine.. more quaint little fixings.. the wood to be made from concrete.. a real contemporary look.

the problem is they don’t stand out for the right reasons…

I don’t mind the designs…i think its cool that he mixed metal and timber – I like the look of stuff like this. However I don’t think he got the proportions right – they just look ‘unbalanced’ – and this affects their aesthetic quality. My favourite would be the 2nd table from the top…and my least favourite would be the bottom one…

The internet is full of people who just make negative comments all the time. We don’t mind negative comments as long as people explain why they think the way they do.
