The Mensa Table from Lazerian
Liam Hopkins, the founder of Lazerian, a Manchester, England based design/manufacturer, has sent us photos of the Mensa Table. The table is constructed using birch plywood modules, which were derived from the use of computer modelling. The table will be part of a collection that will include a dining table, side table and coffee table.

Indeed it’s very beautiful. And to think those were made for computers ;)!

Hi,
It is made from modules which are drawn up on cad then cut on a cnc router, once cut they are hand finished and built up to make the final form. A lengthy process but well worth the outcome I think. The light modulator was done in the same manner, the process can be seen on the website under projects.
Thanks
Liam

Looks pretty. And kinda tippy.

even if the structure itself is sound, the footprint is way to small to make the table stable.

Looks similar to the flax table David Trubridge exhibited in Milan a few years ago.
