Interior Inspiration from B&B Italia’s Maxalto Collection
Maxalto was established in 1975 to accompany B&B Italia with its productive experience and work seamlessly together in the specialized production of high quality furniture. The name Maxalto, which derives from the Veneto dialect “massa alto”, meaning “the highest”, clearly indicates the goals of the company. Afra and Tobia Scarpa, long time Maxalto collaborators, produced a series of furniture where wood plays the leading role, using old, traditional, and rare cabinet-making and lute-making methods. Along with the wood, generally walnut or rosewood, you can find precious briarwood veneer, special finishes such as polyester lacquers inspired by ancient Chinese handwork, transparent and high gloss paints, along with materials such as leather and hide with saddle-maker’s stitching.

The Febo collection is particularly nice (chairs in 4th picture, sofa in last). Great quality!
