Otero Cabin by E.Cobb Architects
Seattle based E.Cobb Architects designed this 1200 square foot cabin that is tucked away in the woods of Lopez Island, which is part of the San Juan islands of Washington State. The compact, efficient cabin is a quiet retreat for a young family and their friends. In its immediate environment of wetlands, forest and shoreline, the project was to respect its surroundings and sit lightly on the land by being compact, durable, efficient and flexible.

Love the simple and elegant design of the stairs, the whole project is well done but the stairs do stand out.
