ANSWERS to your questions:

Hey, I just googled my house (I live in this one) and thought I'd answer a few of your questions.

1. the legs are from Puerto Rico. Got em on vacation. They are a life-cast of the artist's girlfriend's legs. They stand on their own two feet.

2. Lionel Morrison is the architect, and we love his work. (One Arts Plaza, Dallas). Living this uncluttered requires discipline. But we love it.

3. Art work: When we asked Lionel what art to use, he said (and I'm not kidding) "Only hang art if it improves the wall." His use of massing is beautiful; his walls ARE the art. So we used great restraint in displaying art. Photos used are by David Gipson (guest bedroom) and me (office).

4. More links on the neighborhood and architect at http://www.geocities.com/terry_and_robert.

I can certainly see Le Corbusier's influences, this is fantastic lebensraum. It is hard to even imagine an article of laundry on the floor, and one would be guilt ridden to allow it to happen.

I have been in this house on the Dallas AIA tour last year. It is a nice house but it is classic Lionel Morrison. I have been in 7 of his houses and they ALL look the same on the inside. Concrete floors, white walls, Fry Riglet reveals, stark and cold.

I will say the kitchen cabinets are the best craftsmanship I have ever seen.

I've always liked Seifert Murphy's work. The house is very modern, simple and most importantly it looks to serve a purpose. I'd love to see just a wee bit more artwork on the walls, photography of course, but I love the mix or old/new/asian/minimalism/modern/luxury and the way it melds with the surroundings. Now this is uncluttered living the way it should be.
