KOLO Armchair by Jouko Järvisalo
Designer Jouko Järvisalo has created the KOLO Armchair for Finish manufacturer Mobel.
From Mobel:
KOLO is an armchair moulded out of a single wooden sheet. Its armrests form a planar surface, from which the seat and chair back are pressed out to create a hollow in which the user can sit. Kolo floats on air, supported by a minimalist tubular steel frame.
The Finnish word KOLO refers to a small hollow, nook, hole or niche; metaphorically, it also refers to a living space.

Minimalist, it’s jus a surface with a cut, astonishingly simple and beautiful!

I certainly hope he is going to adjust the angle of the back rest….. Either that, or this is just for looks, because that is useless

What’s wrong with the angle of the back rest? Looks normal to me.

Beautiful and Minimalist, but I was tempted to take the support structure!
Bonita e minimalista, mas senti-me tentado a tirar a estrutura de apoio!

That backrest looks to be at about a 45° angle. So in other words, not normal…

uhhh….no, it looks like a 90° angle.
Very normal.

This chair looks normal to sit in.

lol… ok
the only 90° angle i see on that chair would be the metal legs. and you’re telling me the backrest angle looks the same? wow..
anyway, i’m sure they wouldn’t make the chair if it were uncomfortable….. or would they.. hmm
