Machines that Almost Fall Over by Michael Kontopoulos
Artist and designer Michael Kontopoulos created Machines that Almost Fall Over.
From the artist:
A system of sculptures that is constantly on the brink of collapse. My intention was to capture and sustain the exact moment of impending catastrophe and endlessly repeat it.

Those are wonderful. Maximum tension. I just wonder how difficult this must have been to make. It would be interesting to hear an explanation of the process (mathematic calculation or trial and error?).
How many catastrophes does it require to arrive at the maximum tension without provoking collapse using trial and error?
