Great Idea! I don't know where you people live, but I live in the south of USA and although it is warm down here most of the year we still use our fireplaces regularly. As for log sizes obviously you people bye your wood from a store prepackaged or even wrapped in paper (firestarters). However most people who have REAL WOOD fireplaces also have log spliters and any of the items above could be put to good use. I assume most of you people either have gas logs or just plan electric fireplaces, yuk!

GREAT CREATIONS - I am purchasing the table stand myself.

Very nice design and storage idea. But it is true in some parts of the U.S. there is no need for wood like this. Perhaps it could be used for other things books, or umbrellas, idk..just an idea. The last one is to me the most creative it reminds me of a water droplet. cool..

@Scott Lee: I think Janson means 'regular' in the sense of being uniform in size and shape. The first thing I thought looking at these, especially the vertical re-bar one, was what I believe Janson is getting at. They're very nice, but I've rarely seen firewood that organizes this well. Besides, you should be able to take from the top of the stack. Pulling a rough log out horizontally is a hassle.

Firewood is regular and usable. Many people in the US use firewood all the time.

If only firewood were so regular as to be usable in these designs. Perhaps in Europe where firewood is essentially farmed and cut young you'd find wood like this. Here in the US, you pay a very high premium for wood like this, and, of course, if you are using it for heat, this small kindling size will go in no time at all.
