The Air Bubble 33 Chair by Guadalupe Velazquez
The Britain based designer Guadalupe Velazquez, has created the Air Bubble 33 Chair.
Guadalupe Velazquez says:
I was inspired by different kinds of insects from the place I grew up, such as ants, and baby wasps when still in the nests. Where I used to play when I was child, there were leaf-cutter ants carrying their food and other colourful objects above their heads, protected by their legs, over the red earth.
The chair is built with futuristic features, using acrylic, leather, steel and perforated aluminium. To make the cushion I used the idea of a banana shape.

Probably would have been a good idea to wipe the fingerprints off the metal before investing in a photoshoot.

Uhhhh, knock off, cheap, derivative….
This looks like the meth driven love child of “Orange City Choppers” or whatever that stupid show is called and Eero Aarnio. And I do not mean that in a good way. Two letters to end my general comments… P and U.
Ok, one last paragraph….
My faith in Hispanic design is shaken when I see stuff like this. I normally LOVE the work of Hispanic designers, where even plywood and a little plexiglass can be transformed into something sleek, colorful and with a purpose. This, this aberration of anything vaguely resembling “design” needs to be taken out back and shot. I think the only thing missing, are the hoses from the abortion add-on for this monstrosity and the stirrups.
Frightening.

It’s kind of fun, but where would someone put it?
Maybe it’s meant to be place outside?

It’s fun, but it could have been done more elegantly. The frame is really clunky.
I could see a hotel having these around a pool area.
