The Lofoten Lounger by Corey Baker
Australian designer Corey Baker has created the Lofoten Lounger.
Corey says:
Laminated counter-tension bamboo supports combine with stainless steel features to create a strong yet visually lightweight, striking sculptural lounger.
Thoughtful fanned positioning of these supports create the curvaceous form, ensuring optimal comfort and vital lumbar support. Ecologically sustainable and renewable bamboo (naturally oiled) is complemented by intertwined stainless steel features, making this versatile lounger ideal for many environments.

Although the design looks very nice I have my doubts about it’s use.
The width at the lower end doesn’t suggest enough room for various leg positions.

Gorgeous use of wood and space.

This could be the sexiest lounge i’ve ever seen. Smooth clean lines, beautiful curves, and great material selection/use. Good job.

Superb design with perfect application of materials . U have only to understand that in the part where the sections met and split , a component should be hidden to prevent splitting up at stress point . Wider space in the lower leg level. Try to load test at maximum level and it would be commercially viable . Good design should not end up with a claim . Btw , its almost perfect ! Great !
