I like the idea behind this design. Using white for everything to create a canvas that can be changed at the flip of a switch is a great idea, but what about during the day when the natural light comes in?

The mirrors in the bathroom create a repetition that is interesting, yet far too busy and really, who wants to watch themselves use the restroom from so many angles. I would totally suffer from performance anxiety in there.

The colored lighting does give the space some warmth, but I could never see myself feeling ‘at home’ in a place like this. The curtains along the walls make it feel like a sectioned off hospital room. I’d stay in a hotel like this, for the experience, but would be glad to head home at checkout.

What is the main point of focus in the living room?

The TV is in an awkward place for the main length of the sofa and then the huge pillar/wall in between the odd windows blocks out most of the view.

And those speaker grills in the wall next to the TVs spoil the nice expansive planes.

Liking the Kubrick notions but the above mentioned items would spoil my enjoyment

The bed in the middle of a clean and and white room, total simplicity. It seems quiet and I think you can get a really good sleep there.

This kind of design does not happen by accident, and it’s not a mistake.
It happens because this is what they wanted.

The living room would be the only room that I would ever want t be in. The bedroom is to empty…. looks like a space-age sterilized facility. The bathroom looks cluttered with all the mirrors and honestly I think I would get a headache while being in there. I don’t think the design was thoroughly thought through.

Who thought it was a good idea to take “2001 : A space odyssey” and design an interior around it? If it’s a tribute to Kubrick then it’s flattery at best, otherwise it’s a trendy ultra lounge rip off.

I love this apt. I love all the white. Looks so clean/modern/minimal. And depending on the mood, the lights can adapt the white to look/feel warm or cold. Only thing that I don’t know if I really like: the seemingly wide square/rectangular toilet. I know that may sound kinda funny, but that’s one place where the straight clean/sharp lines kind of kill it for me. Otherwise, I love it.
