Shavings Stool by Yoav Avinoam
Israeli designer Yoav Avinoam has created the Shavings Stool.
The stools use sawdust waste from the wood industry, which is combined with resin and pressed into a mold that already contains all the objects parts. The sawdust crumbles toward the edges, creating a new aesthetic for a material once destined to become waste.

very ugly stool…
that table or bench or whatever would crumble for sure if there was a load in the middle…
in general… B+ for Idea, C- for application

also… if this project was about ’saving the enviroment’… I dont think the amount of resin used is very ‘healthy’ for the enviroment…
