Notting Hill’s big white green machine, these houses are loaded with eco features all hidden ‘behind the scenes’- geo thermal bore holes, solar panels, heat recovery, super insulation, grey water recycling, all built from eco material etc…

I love the finishes in this building but the ratio of the room size to height is awful, it makes the ceiling feel like it is crushing down on you. Palladio’s principles are still relevant in modern buildings.

Besides the first picture I don’t see many architectural interesting things. Boxy rooms staged with furniture pieces organized as in a showroom.
Notting Hill is an up-scale neighborhood but not all together safe. Good thing they are situated behind a gate.

the ceiling heights do look low in some of the pictures, ESPECIALLY the one of the master bedroom, the door frame on the right is directly under the ceiling, which leads me to think there are some varying heights used, from 7′3 to 7′6 and some 8′ ceilings. Indeed rather strange for a new build project. This, now impossible to ignore, part of the design make me dislike it that much more, borderline hating this design.

Maybe it’s the angle of the photo. They look like they’re 8 feet in the kitchen. I’ve seen the same thing in photos of other homes of the like on this webpage as well. The living room will have a soaring ceiling, but the kitchen is always tucked off somwehere.

I don’t care much for the interior, but it is what it is, minimal. The exterior though… Now that I’m loving.

london building height restrictions? i can’t get over how low those ceilings are. wide open expanses and these empty, low ceilings. one hopes it’s just the photography, but i get kind a of squished feeling when i look at these photos. i like the exterior shot and that’s about it.

Beautifully designed spaces, but why so sterile looking with the white on white on white on white with white furniture and white millwork and so on and so on! ugh. these sterile medical color schemes of the early 1900’s is painful
