Regarding the comment about the price: The prices listed on the resort’s website are in Thailand Baht, with the pool villa indulgence price equivalent to about $600 USD and the standard room around $185 USD currently. This seems incredibly reasonable considering the scale and luxury of the place.

Otherwise I am generally impressed. The rock wall provides an interesting, rugged contrast to the clean crisp lines of wood and cement, and the location looks prime.

It’s okay if water goes everywhere under the shower. In Thailand, you expect a “bath” room to be wet. It’s called a hong nam (“room water”…i.e. “water room”). Since one does not typically ever where street shoes in a Thai home, it’s normal to expect wet floors in a hong nam.

To be honest, I’m rather shocked how mod Thai resorts have become over the years. We’ve stayed in some snazzy ones, quite upscale and it seems there’s a need to continuously raise the bar in Thailand where tourism is very important.

I am slightly obsessed with the bathroom. It does at first glance look like it’d be a mess, but I think it’s incredibly anyway. Have you seen the price tag on a nights stay? Yikes.

the showers are a very poor design…. water would go everywhere and make a huge mess… other then that its a very good looking resort… love the rock walls
