Alila Villas Soori by SCDA Architects
SCDA Architects have completed the Alila Villas Soori, a new resort and residential villa community on the southwest coast of Bali, Indonesia, which is scheduled to open in December 2009.
This latest property by Alila Hotels & Resorts offers 48 villas ranging in size from 1,680 square feet for a one-bedroom villa, to a 49,500-square foot 10-bedroom villa. Each villa integrates elements from the surrounding environment with a graceful expression of contemporary Asian design. Located off the tourist trail, the resort is situated on a gentle slope between lush, green rice terraces and black-sand beaches overlooking panoramic vistas of the Indian Ocean.

This is one of my favorite posts I’ve seen on this site so far. I love everything about this, from the abundance of wood and linearity on the exterior, to the use of rustic stone (flanked by wood floors) as well as other materials on the interior. Love the exterior covered deck next to the pool! Great work!

..oh my God!..perfection in simplicity..can’t find a word..quick question though, what kind of stone’s used in the interior?..(still)oh my God!..

stunning! I wonder how much it costs / night…

Andira – re: stone, my guess would be indigenous Lava Stone because of its gray color.
Andy – re: cost USD 600.00 – USD 750.00 average nightly rate according their website…
I have followed SCDA Architects and their work now for a few years and their architecture is first rate.

Absolutely phenomenal living space.
The spacial arrangements, layout, finsishes, furnishings and textures give this place a ‘zen-like atmosphere’

Its just amazing to know how simplicity can bring you to the 9th cloud.

make sure you ask for the oceanfront villas. They have better views and a private staircase to the beach…The beachfront villas if you want a direct access to the sea. Both have views of the indian ocean
