I love this house! A very atomic ranch feel, 'retro' as Georgy states. I, too, would love more interior shots, maybe plans. I agree with Kevin, though, about the interior space.

I also wonder about the roof design. There is a lot of snow in this area... and snow is heavy and doesn't necessarily melt right away in these cold parts. So how do they prevent the accumulation of snow on the roof? It seems that the design even encourages snow to collect in the middle.

The plumbing shown in this last picture surly was an over sight and not designed that way.

First off the wast pipe sticks out past the face of the sink and no P Trap is shown.

I can only imagine that after photos they where busting concrete and redoing the waste line for this sink.

Over all I felt this home to be just average.

History repeats its-self.
Classic re-interpretation of the chevron style homes of the 50's.
When something works, just make it better.

Love this! One of my favorites on this site so far! But, would also like to see some more interior photos to see the setup of the house (and maybe plans too) I think the postings on this site should have plans with them, would make things easier.

It's great to see some nice architectural work close to home that isn't in Toronto, for a change. I love the large open spaces and all the cedar cladding, particularly on the interior ceiling.

The only thing I think I very strongly disagree with is the enormous, open interior space between "buildings"; it gets COLD at these lattitudes, and that passageway is going to become a prime location for snowdrift formation as well as high wind-pressure as it seeks to find a way around the building. For three seasons a year this place is probably wonderful, but you wouldn't catch me dead there during the wintertime, no matter what the author suggests. I'm guessing this building is more of a cottage than a 365 home -- possibly for one of the members of the Hatley clothiers.
