the house is O.K … but the bath is really ugly … the toilet next to the shower … is there not enough space to make a comfortable bathroom?

nice, stylish, even a bit quirky. I like it. Just the view into the garage from the terrace is a bit naff..

HIt and miss.
Love the Exterior cladding material but not the horizontal/vertical orientation of them. The raised door to the pool, viewing the auto through the kitchen/living room = fabulous idea, but the structural beams and the dark cabinetry… yikes. The bathrooms use of stainless trim and soft green glass tiles nice, but the choice in stone colour, cabinetry and a plexi-green countertop- uh NO.
[Just as a note; why make bathrooms so small?]
But the best feature is the glass floor!!!

Stunning! Absolutely one of the finest examples of good design and contemporary architecture I have seen on this site. Bravo!

wow i love the intensity of the interior design and the change from an office to a loft-style residential building was managed really great in my opinioin. its got a very strong vibe that somehow makes me want to visit and chekc it out in real life
thanks for posting this!

I agree with Christian and Oliver. Personally the view into the garage is just silly. But I love me some garage doors that lead out to a pool from the living room. Swoon! I love glass floors too, LOVE them, but there needs to be more uniformity in the flooring “overall” and that bathroom, skip it.
But overall I really like it a lot, minus a lot of the furnishing, but hey, I’m sure someone would say the same about our place.
Again, a lot of good ideas that just need focus.

Wow! I love the corridor with plexiglass (is it plexiglass?) flooring.

I’ve always wondered what the interior of this house was like. My wife live directly across the road when we started dating. And the celebrity owner is … Galen Weston Jr! Love the pool setting and the floors of the upstairs hallway.

frosted glass on the floor and on the window into the garage would make a world of a difference. My only other thing is that the living room has WAY too many coffee tables and side tables. I think i counted 8 of them in all. Other then that, this house is just amazing in so many ways.

arcgitecturally great job! but the interior design perhaps should be a bit more in moderation.

awesome house…but does anyone find the two heads on the counter extremely creepy?!
F-J on 17 Dec 2009 at 9:30 pm #
Yes, the heads are creepy. Strange placement. I would need a clean work area to cook.

The interior design is just tacky. that’s a shame cause the architecture looks nice.
