I think the concept of the spa is fresh and carried out very well especially at the reception area, however I’m not too crazy about the metal sphere details. It tends to be overpowering especially at the shower room and kind of distracting. If it was used minimally and just at accented spaces, this would have been an exceptional interior.

I do find the design attractive, even through the typos, but I think it would bother my paranoid side. The silver half-spheres just remind me of department store ceiling camera domes. I would worry while taking a shower that somebody might be peeking.

If the domes were more of an organic color to match the many organic forms of the architecture, it may be more comforting.

Wow, I’m going to have to disagree with everyone who has commented here. This seems so exceptionally amateur and like a cheap Sci-Fi movie set. In 2 years people will look back at this and think “How did anyone ever think that looked good!?” the same way we look back on mullets now. This is a mullet.

Usually I love how comments are so positive and encouraging on this site.

Will this design continue to attract paying customers? This question is never answered by “pretty pictures only” design review sites like Contemporist. For once, I’d like to see a follow up that tells us the design was a complete flop and was renovated as a result. Will Atomic Spa endure? We’ll never know. Fix the typo? We’ll never know.

Just wow. This is absolutely a place to visit! The pool is just mind-blowing and I bet it’s great to really be there. Just one thing… In the sauna it says “Beauty inspires wonderful thougths” instead of “thoughts.” D: oops!

The overall design is amazingly fresh. However the silver half spheres tend to be overwhelming and ubiquitous. And for God sake, who allowed for the misspelling of the word “thoughts” to go unnoticed and actually presented on the wall, in what seems to be a key space; this can be found in the phrase: “beauty inspires wonderful thougths.” I think such a ridiculous mistake is uncalled for in the world of design. It is called “attention to detail” people.
