The AURA Bed by Martin Ballendat
German designer Martin Ballendat has created the AURA bed for the manufacturer, ACCENTE.
From ACCENTE:
The beauty of AURA lies in its harmony of contrasts. The inviting sleep surface flows gracefully and effortlessly over a compact, flat base which can serve as a space for reading material or for breakfast. A charming detail are the side inlays which reiterate the colour of the base and accentuate the evenly curved linear design.
ACCENTE will be exhibiting the AURA bed at the upcoming 2010 IMM Cologne furniture show.

Simplicity seems to be the key here, but I wonder if this is a comfortable bed to sleep in. Great design though!

the style is great, the comfort would be driven by the mattress, of which it doesn’t look like it has space for a nice deep pillow top mattress.. nice design though, clean lines, no waste of material on useless elements and frills.
