The Toboggin Series by Devin Schaffner
Canadian designer Devin Schaffner has created the Toboggin series.
The pieces are made out of red and white Corian, and offer a range of uses. The 48” long model can be utilized as a coffee table or as a bench, while the 24” long model can be used as a coffee table, side table, and bench while lying horizontally and providing a temporary stool or side table when standing vertically.
The Toboggin series will be on display this week at the Interior Design Show in Toronto.

Great forms; would like to see alternative colour options.

nothing new there, I have a side table and coffee table very similar to those from a cheap furniture place in a home maker centre

graham, is yours made out of Corian? Two-tone Corian?

There are definitely many other colour options available aside from red, which include orange, blue, yellow, black, and purple. But due to the radius the exterior will be white indefinitely (colour stretches when formed).
Thank you for the comment.

the use of Corian is the only factor that is different, mine are laminex (white) and timber (brown) two tone

Graham,
Could you please supply me with the name or maybe even a URL to the manufacture of the pieces you currently own?

I agree with F-J, very nice work. It’s deceptively simple and very well executed and would compliment a multitude of settings and design styles, though obviously suited to the modern side.
It may not be earth-shattering in terms of being “new”, but what is these days? There is very little in the design world that truly warrants being called “new” or “original”. But if do something well and thoughtful and do it perfectly and that’s not a bad thing at all in my book.
Congrats Devin.
