The Reveal Cabinet by Studiomama
London based designer, Nina Tolstrup of Studiomama, has created the Reveal cabinet.
The Reveal cabinet is a piece made from recycled floorboards, the simple form of the exterior contrast with the rough character of the the planks from which it is made. There are cut outs that allows for storage and display. When opened the cabinet reveals a set of different size and proportion boxes. Both the boxes and the negative space between them can be used for storage.

it’s an interesting piece when it’s closed, leaving revealed spaces, but the idea of the boxes inside of it make it a borderline useless piece of furniture. there’s just too much dead space in the piece to make proper use of it as a storage unit. Unfortunate for something that comes across as rather interesting, and that it’s using reclaimed materials.

I agree that the inside storage seems inefficient. However, the inside could be altered to reflect a more traditional storage unit while still keeping the integrity and utility behind the design.

The inside just needs some flat shelving in between the boxes to better allow the storing of small objects
