But tacky lighting imo. Sloppy electricians, one of the downlights in picture 09 is a bit crooked. The lines are clean, bold and purposeful. I think we all should think outside the box a little when it comes to residential architecture. Home design is evolving beyond the traditional aesthetics of things like fireplaces and landscaping, replacing them with exciting new dimensions and features. I agree that the black exterior is a bit harsh, but again I think it's nice to have our sensibilities challenged by excellent design. This is absolutely amazing. The lines are clean, bold and purposeful. I think we all should think outside the box a little when it comes to residential architecture. The inside and the glass looks gorgeous and the house looks really nice in photos, but from my experience such large fields of black don't turn out so great in every day life. I agree with Joe. The front door, open stair treads and orange color are the best part. However, the dominating harsh inorganic color scheme of white and black, and the apparent complete lack of landscaping and fireplace both indoors and out result in a huge letdown. The house appears cold and detached and unwelcoming. It's hard to imagine living in such a space, which is better suited to a gallery or space to visit for a short time.
