The Lowbay Table by Han Koning
Dutch designer Han Koning has created the Lowbay Table for the “spin-offs” design platform.

Description from Han Koning:
I use a technique in wich i machine-cut and bend 18mm thick industrial plywood. After wich it becomes flexible and automatically finds it new curved shape. Fixing it into this new shape using Epoxy resin.
This “salon table” measures 116X70X30 cm in dimension. Soon different lengths and hights will be available.

I like it . . . without the logo.

I don’t like that you can see the kerf. why not use bendable plywood?

Sorry. I forgot to mention that I really like this a lot. I am just questioning why the decision was made to use kerfs instead of bent ply.

I love the kerf, actually. When I first saw the table, I was like ‘meh, we’ve seen that before’ – but when I saw those little notches, it was a little ‘whoah’ moment. It’s such a great detail.
