Heavy/Light by Dieter Janssen
Toronto based architect Dieter Janssen has created the ‘Heavy/Light’ light fixture.
Made of cast-iron with xenon lighting components, Heavy/Light began as an investigation into modelling cloud formations, initially for the purpose of developing a possible roof structure on a private residence. As a hanging light however, the sequence of vaulted arches, each pinching or flattening, reflect a varied light onto the space below defining a carved field of illumination.
