Stalb Lamps by Eric Fescenmeyer for Kassen Lifestyle

American design studio Kassen Lifestyle have introduced the Stalb Lamps, that have been designed by their principal designer, Eric Fescenmeyer.

The Stalb Lamp is a simple steel structure, curved to a soft shape while still maintaining its hard edges. It stands on a cast-concrete base; the shade, a cube of hollowed-out, recycled plywood, is enhanced only with a satin lacquer for a slight sheen.

Potential Energy Lighting Collection From Whatswhat Collective

Whatswhat Collective are John Astbury, Bengt Brümmer and Karin Wallenbäck. All coming from different countries but sharing a Scandinavian connection, they met in the fall of 2009 at the master programme in Formgiving Intelligence at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. The Potential Energy lighting collection is their first project together.

The lamps represent the presence of both suggested and actual movement. Each piece expresses a different take on potential energy, playing with structure, dynamics and atmosphere. Inviting interaction to set the potential energy in motion. A story of analogue dimming, movement and rest.
