All I see is Eames. It looks just like an Eames lounger. Nothing new

Have to disagree with Xtopher, put the two next to each other and you’ll see they both have their own personality. Personally I love this creation. it’s clearly Hayon, not Eames. I want one!

60 years since Eames and they still can’t design something more beutiful…

Why would someone as talented as Hayon rip off Eames so blatantly??
Very odd.

Eames is the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the photos…more colourful, more futuristic, but clearly inspired…IMHO.

I agree with Cristina. It’s a hommage, not a blatant rip off. The first thing I noticed was the arms of the chair honestly, which are the least like the Eames lounge. It’s definitely a lot less “old boy 50′s martini” and more accessible as well and I would hope more comfortable. I never found the original to be “that” comfy either. I’ll take Saarinen’s Womb Chair any day of the week though.

If you design something that is so clearly ‘inspired’ then the least you can do is pay ‘hommage’ to the original designer by referencing them in media releases.

What’s the use in trying to improve on Eames? Eames did just this chair and made it beautiful and wonderously comfortable. Why try again?
