The exterior is magnificent. It has great structure, there is a beautiful combination of materials. It gives hope that the inside will be the same. Which it is not.
Why clad a house so that the light provides warmth when viewed from the outside. But give no consideration to how the cladding affects light that falls within?
The interior structure is plain dull.
Plus I am bored of seeing the same furniture over and over again. An Eames chair on the usual hide rug given pride of place for no reason? It’s just trying too hard and ends up looking twee.

Simply exquisite

This is B_O_R_I_N_G! There is nothing remotely stylish about this place. Modern and contemporary is one thing, but simple boxes of nothing is entirely something else.

Simply wonderful.Green is emphasized here very intelligently by the house.

Excellent exterior, not so good interior. Particularly I don’t like the entrance through the kitchen and dining place – it cuts more an already little space.
But, finally, after a long time, something closer to good architecture.

The exterior is lovely, instead of a plain front yard, maybe a nice water feature would have brought more life. The interior could of been more homey too. I’m tired of all the white interiors of homes. We live in a colorful world, add some color internally! I don’t think it boring though. I believe in less is more! I give it 6.5 out of 10.
CONTEMPORIST, maybe we can start rating stuff on your website. What do you think?

Yes I agree, but we should notice that these houses are in most cases NOT DESIGNED for us people who know all the ins and outs about interior design. These houses are designed for people who want to live in an exibition of their own good taste, status or whatever to show off with.
Thats why the exterior looks lovely, and the interior rather boring..

I like Marlon Blackwell’s take on this style better. This is surprising similar in general form, but the Stacked form seems to make more sense in Marlon’s version were it projects over a creek.

I love this example of Architecture because it is not pretensious… it has esence to me, inside and outside. There is harmony.
Not much else, can be then said about something self-content.
Excellent work. Congratulations to the designers and to the owner… Enjoy it! Thanks for sharing it.

Simplicity is still the best… It brings out beauty that complicated things cannot… It brings ellegance with it’s unique quality. It’s very spacious and easy to move into. Perfect for relaxation. It’s indeed a warm home.

I agree that the exterior is amazing, and the interior is disappointing. The stairwell reminds me of a dingy apartment.

This is absolutely marvellous. Best I`ve seen in a very long time. Hope it`s possible to get my hands in the drawings and build this in Norway someday. Just what I`ve been looking for.

Streamline architecture and garden. Cool. I just wish I could have a house like this in my hometown in Vietnam when I am old. hihi
