Bound Lamps by Andrew O. Hughes
American glassblower Andrew O. Hughes has created the Bound series of pendant lamps.
In the series, the lamp cord is used to not only provide the electric current needed to power the lamp but also takes a prominent role in its form and function. The cord serves a dual purpose in holding the pendent off the ground and also determining the shape and aesthetic characteristics of the blown glass shade.

The heat from the light is likely to degrade the power cord so it doesn’t seem very functional.

But as containers for lighting they’re lovely, fill it with LED or Energy efficient lights and they’d last forever.. Very nice..
