At Salone del Mobile 2010 in Milan, we visited the booth of Spanish manufacturer BD Barcelona Design, where they were exhibiting the new lounger that Jaime Hayon has designed.
The Boa Shelf by Tuyo Design Studio
At Salone del Mobile 2010 in Milan, we met Pål Jacobsen and Margarita Garcia of the Norway-based Tuyo Design Studio, who were exhibiting the Boa Shelf, which is made from wood and felt.
Description from the designers:
Exploring alternative ways to organize your objects by utilizing both traditional wooden shelf structure and the much more flexible wool felt. While the shelf works perfectly well as a single piece it also offers the possibility to connect a series of pieces together to create an extensive shelf system. The felt also creates the locking mechanism between the wooden shelf and the mounting bracket.
