Slightly Awkward Desk Lamp by Nonlinear Studio
Brooklyn, New York-based Nonlinear Studio have designed the Slightly Awkward Desk Lamp.
The defining beauty in people is often the characteristic that doesn’t fit the standard mold. The Slightly Awkward Desk Lamp, is simple and minimal but has a posture that is a bit peculiar. The awkward stance of the lamp with its truncated fourth leg gives it life and personality, while allowing it to balance as both an ambient table lamp and a directional task lamp. The lamp can be adjusted simply by tipping it back.

Very cute little lamp. It seems like the ‘best’ contemporary lamps have solid roots in the best of mid-century lighting. Style AND function.

Mid-century, it was about style and function, but what I love about the contemporary take on that is the added FUN and cute. Lovable.
