The Vessel Collection from CraftedSystems
Aurelie Tu. the designer behind the Portland, Oregon-based CraftedSystems, has sent us her Vessel collection.
All of their products are woven from 100% natural wool felt, and hand assembled at a women’s shelter, which helps in skills development for women in transition, economically enabling and empowering them, giving them collective purpose and creative outlet.

These forms are very beautiful. The patterns evoke vintage ceramics and rough natural forms like pineapples and pine cones, but the materials are so soft and inviting. It’s a nice contradiction. And what a great story behind them. Great work.
