Ta-rae Lamps by Design Virus
Design Virus, a Korean design studio, have created the Ta-rae lamps.
“Ta-rae” is a word in Korean that represents bunched up and lumped threads or strings. By taking the “ta-rae” as a motif for its design, the “Ta-rae” Lighting is composed of ten “Seoul colours” and with Korea’s own traditional colours carries that eastern feel. Turning on the light when pulled, the on-and-off switch for “Ta-rae” Lighting is made of thimble.

The Coco Pendant Lamp by Coco Flip
Australian designer Kate Stokes of studio Coco Flip has created the Coco Pendant Lamp.
The Coco Pendant Light is crafted from turned Victorian Ash timber and spun aluminium. The smooth timber surface gives way to the aluminium shade, creating a delicate contrast between these two very different materials. Stokes worked alongside Victorian manufacturers to create the design, which explores the different techniques used in each manufacturing processes. Available in natural timber with a white or black shade.
