ROPES Lamps by Christian Haas
German designer Christian Haas has created the ROPES lamps.

.
Description from Christian Haas:
ROPES is a new series of lamps launched this week at Colette, Paris. The idea behind the lamps was to combine LED-technology with a innovative soft look and textile appeal. Unlit, the lamps provide a graphic statement to their environment. Lit, they diffuse a gentle ambient light.
Each piece is unique, numbered and varies in size and technique. ROPES are handmade in France and Germany.

looks like 1/2 an idea, great concept. What does it look like at the bottom, hopefully better than the top.

using rope lights: do not have to end in knot as ones I have used just end. Other thought is you can wrap back on itself or some other pleasing shape as are available in various lengths and provide a very interesting effect in ambiant light. I first purchased on sale some years ago as left over from Christmas and my idea was to do as above and love the effect and continue to use as have found are more availabe.

These are great, I can imagine weaving a whole chandelier out of these, the possibilities are endless.
