The TubeMe Chair by Ellinor Ericsson
Ellinor Ericsson, a student at the Danish Design School, has sent us the TubeMe Chair.

.
Description from the designer:
The TubeMe chair is about a tactile interaction with a chair. You are able to braid the naked chair with pillow tubes creating your own upholster with the different textiles. While actually sitting in the chair you can interact with it by using the tubes or just throw them around you and fall asleep being embraced.

It think it’s hideous. It looks extraterrestrial (or subterrestrial?)
Definitely not for claustrophobic types. It’s worrying that children might get strangled.

the dog looks terrified in some of those terrible indoor shots. certainly scared and confused about this crazy design clearly staged in the other photos…i doubt the pooch jumped up on that crazy thing on his/her own efforts. chair also looks like work…to clean, and get comfortable. not my taste but hey maybe spiderman wants one…?

God, people are so harsh, just because it’s not to your taste, doesn’t mean you should be so scathing!
I think this is a spectacular item but not suited for all households – people with kids or who have physically unstable people living with them would need to be careful. I wouldn’t fit well with my decor but if I lived in a larger home I would love it as a statement piece. It’s bold and different, and I hope the designer gets lots of interest and I’m sure there’s lots more interesting designs to follow.

Interesting idea! There are too harsh comments about it. The chair is a good idea and deserves giving a try and the doggie doesn’t look terrified! She is smaller and dark-eared version of my dearest
