Great location, nice detailing, fun bridge, rather brutal entry and sticking the living room/seating group right on axis and in the center of the tans-section of main entry circulation is like putting the most sacred part of the house in the middle of a street intersection…….NOT!!!! This obviously works for the Architect but no client is going to ever feel comfortable, intimate nor protected in this alignment with Joe Blow coming to the front door and seeing all. Ok we have curtains but subconsciously you’re still sitting in the middle of the intersection. They had to pull the living room seating group apart (breaking intimacy) just to get into the house. Other then this crucial flaw, nice job.

It’s certainly beautiful. I like warmth of the wood staircase and ceilings. Still strikes me as an office lobby and not a home though.

A beautiful home for sure. But the combination of exposed black metal beams and the beautiful stone wall cladding (or is it structural) and wood is not a good choice.
