Anti Patio House by Drozdov Partners
Drozdov Partners designed the Anti Patio house in Kharkov, Ukraine.
.
Description from the architect:
The terraced plot is located on the eastern slope of the hill, with a 10-15 km panoramic view characteristic of a penthouse. The ensemble of three containers (60 sq m each) is sited on two natural terraces: the “guest container” occupies the lower one, the “bedroom container” leans on the slope and the “common area container” uses the upper terrace. Total glazing of day zones provides a view from the “village” to the megapolis, with its puffs of smoke and fireworks.

Step 1: clean the bathroom
Step 2: take pictures

nice. The only thing I might have trouble w/ would be the cinder block walls. It goes w/ the industrial feel but they’re just too “messy” for my taste

The cinderblock walls remind me of my college dorm room, so, um, no. I also don’t like that wedge of a space under the house on the hillside–it looks like the scary corner of the basement where nobody goes because it’s damp and dark.

It’s cool and modern (‘industrial’, I agree with Shane) – but isn’t the space between the hill and the house a bit of a waste?

baha Frederik, didn’t even notice that before but it looks like they had a milk fight in the shower

This is such a sublime structure. I love the exposure of the raw materials like the chipboard ceiling and coated breeze block walls.Structures like this are really progressive in their conception of living spaces. They seem to appreciate that home environments can have a different aesthetic emphasised by the building materials themselves.

I like the blocks abd the stripped back minimalism etc however some of the cupboards in the kitchen look like they are about to fall off. Also would it have taken much more effort to recess the tv and maybe get rid of these hideous speakers next to it?

Am I the only person that just doesn’t appreciate open bathrooms? What do you do when you have guests over, make damn sure that nobody comes upstairs?

Love the design in general. Little complaints here and there but not worth of expressing.
Sure… dirty shower glass should not be in the picture. But at least you know it is being used!
The ceiling beams seem to bow down…
Love it none the less.
