The Corliss Chair by Studio DUNN
Studio DUNN have designed the Corliss chair.
.
Description from Studio DUNN:
The spitting image of revolution. The Corliss Chair cleverly integrates traditional American hardwood construction in its maple seat with a graceful, comfort driven, and handcrafted aluminum backing. Its true connection a secret between them, this union of sustainable and recyclable materials harmoniously joins along a curved plane. Paying homage to George Corliss, the founder of the first independently-powered steam engine, the chair naturally innovates any setting.

this is pretty but flat seat+aluminum backrest=uncomfortable. I owned some Emeco chairs & despite the perfect angles and molded seats the aluminum steals your body heat leaving you feeling like a prisoner being detained for questioning and the flat seat is a no-brainer. The craftsmanship is apparent and as I said, it looks nice

It would be nice to get a comfort rating, on a scale of 1-10, by 1-20 people of various sizes, along a few lines, including:
1. Sitting for a short duration – 10-30 minutes
2. Sitting for a long duration. More than one half hour.

I love these chairs….and would love them in my kitchen…but we use our kitchen table a LOT…..so I would also need more info re. the comfort.
