Dis. interiørarkitekter have designed the Norwegian Official Residence in Tallinn, Estonia.
Description from the designers
In addition to covering various functions of public visits the interior should present and emphasize a Nordic style. We chose a basic color palette of different shades of gray to achieve a warm and classic expression that harmonize with the architecture in the timber house.
To support this and implement Norwegian design we used white oiled oak furniture and lighting that creates various shadows on the surrounding surfaces. As a contrast we chose elements of colorful fabrics and rugs that also add warmth and playfulness to the interior. Some of the furniture was reused, and got new fabrics or surface treatment to fit the new look.
