Domenic Fiorello Studio has sent us his latest design, the Homestead Hook.
The designer’s description
Keep one by your bedside door and never forget your keys, belt and tie again. Try one in the kitchen for your hand towels, or scatter multiples across a living room wall for a great accent to your space.
The form of the Homestead hook is made using the technique of bent lamination, a technique mastered by the Eames Studio. Many thin American Walnut veneers are glued and bent over a smooth form. With clamps, pressure and time to dry, the basic curve is formed. After that it is up to templates, band saws and sanders to dial the final form into place.
