CCD/Cheng Chung Design have recently completed the first Canopy by Hilton in Chengdu, China, and as part of the design, they created a wrap around headboard in the guest rooms.

Using Canopy’s unique brand color – bright orange, the designers installed an L-shaped headboard with hidden lighting, that starts behind the bed, lines the wall, and wraps around onto the ceiling.

Not only is the headboard a bold and colorful detail in the room, but it also helps to create a backdrop for the bed, and assists in making the room feel larger by drawing the eye upwards to the ceiling.
