Traditional Rocking Horses Have Been Replaced With A Monster, Shark, And Octopus

Designer Constantin Bolimond has replaced traditional rocking horses with a line of modern kids furniture that includes rocking monsters made from wood, in an attempt to help children over come their fears by making them a fun toy they can ride.

Growing up, most of us rode on wooden rocking horses or other friendly farm animal-inspired rockers. Designer Constantin Bolimond, however, has created a line of wooden rocking monsters in an attempt to help children overcome their fears by making them a fun toy they can ride.

The monster on each rocker is made from light wood that’s been painted on one side to keep the natural look of the wood but inject a bit of color into the overall design.

Available as a ferocious shark, a nasty gremlin, and a savage octopus, the line of rockers rejects the traditional cutesy designs often created for kids, and instead turns scary monsters into simple, natural toys with touches of color and soft curves that make them both fun and safe.
