Fingers Shelving by Studio Arne Quinze

April 20, 2009

The Belgium based Studio Arne Quinze have created the Fingers Shelving system, which will be introduced at the 2009 Salone del Mobile furnishings show in Milan, along with other works from the producer Quinze & Milan.

From Quinze & Milan:

An unusual yet unique shelving system, made of powder coated steel shelves and wooden FINGERS seemingly piercing through the steel. Shelves never equal in size and fingers put in three different angles create an organic look symbolizing movement, randomness and chaos, nevertheless offering a maximum of usability. Next to our standard models we offer custom made Fingers. Fingers can be easily customized as it’s modified to the requirements of your own wall. Is there a window or heating system in the middle of the wall? No problem, we just build the fingers around it.
