LeafDesk by TILT

June 1, 2013

Based in London, design studio TILT have created the LeafDesk.

From the designers

The LeafDesk is a table designed for collaborative working. There was a need for desking that could accommodate flexible working, be easily shared and facilitate high density working. It cannot stand alone as a single desk, it must be interconnected to support itself, an exciting design idea and an apt metaphor for collaborative working.

The development of the design emerged from codesign workshops with members of The Hub Islington in London. The design has grow across over twenty five Hubs across the world in various finishes and configurations.

The leaves are available in three different sizes, small, medium and large. Each are supported through a base unit and interconnected through a pivot mechanism, allowing rotation through 270 degrees for easy manoeuvrability and increased adaptability. One begins with a single leaf of any size, connecting any number of additional leaves to create a working layout.
